A recently upgraded and fullly customized this AT-101 stereo unit was originally made in 2010 in a year of pop hits like Katy Perry's "California Gurls" and Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and for this stereo compressor. In 2010 It began a prestigious journey around the globe from Italy, and then for 2 clients in LA where it recently landed in NY last year as a standard model.
After a call from the new owner it was back home with a request for it to be fully updated and who says no! After a few broken eggs and many months later this has become the most expensive production unit ever modified. Its a top of the range AT-101 stereo compressor but not because of the full upgrades - as if they were not substantial enough - but visually because of its customized 3mm highly polished and certified chrome front panels you see here.
So who would want such a thing? Vincent Velasquez thats who, a musician with a passion for a Euphone called Mathilda. Weighing in at a mere 300 pounds she is made of metal and glass. He says its 6.5 feet tall stretching 10 feet wide with her extension amplifiers, at 8 1/2 octaves its the most powerful polyphonic Euphone Hybrid on planet earth. Vincent goes on to say that he's been working with Mathilda for 13 years alongside Dr. Frederic Bousquet, at Titanium Sound. Frederick invents instruments for people like Cliff Martinez and the Roots he is also the only person to inherit the teachings and engineering legacy of the Baschet Brothers inventors of the Crystal Bacshet.
Vincent is an extraordinary individual creating an even more extraordinary sound as he merges his new customized all chrome plated AT-101 stereo compressor 'amanda' - thats the name engraved on his unit- seamlessly into his musical workflow.
This unit is USA bound.
